To save a life

What does it take to save a life? How many words would be enough to encourage or convince someone to stay. Would words even be enough to draw someone out of their pain, long enough to heal.

I’ve asked myself this question a lot recently and between you and I, I don’t know the anwser. I don’t know what it takes to save a life, but I think it’s different for everyone.

Some people are amazing at conversing with others, being able to have conversations about anything, yet having a general intetest in whats been said and the person who’s talking.

To save a life is to sacrifice our time, our money and sometines our popularity. It takes time to love people and be their when their not well, to stay when their mental health is not in a great place.

It may require us to sacrifice our money, to pay for a movie, pay for a coffee or even pay for someones holiday. It may require us to invest in someones self- worth even it doesn’t exist right now.

To save a life looks different for everyone.

Our time is important but what we do with it, is more important. Your health is the most important thing, being on top of that is honouring your mental health. However at the same time if were good, it’s important we ask if someone is ok, when time is short life can also be the same.

To save a life looks like pausing and asking ruok? To stop time long enough to remind someone of their worth, of how much their valued. You might be the only one who cares, but that’s Awesome!

Some people want popularity over helping others, it requires sacrifice to love people, mental health is not pretty. It’s not an easy thing to talk about or to deal with, but to save a life…it’s different for everyone.

Hold tight to your gift, to your passion and to what you’ve been given. You are the best at something and whatever that is, you could also Save a life!

We’re all good at something,we can all Save A Life. You are an Amazing person and you have something that can change someones life, you don’t have to be perfect or have it all together to encourage someone.

Sometimes love looks broken, sometimes it has flaws, failures and mistakes and Sometimes love develops even when it has scars. You and I have what it takes to Save someones life.

Much love, Shaun
